Driven by our vision that everyone deserves to Age Well, Age Concern Colchester & North East Essex are now becoming Age Well East.
Our new name reflects our Mission: to support and empower individuals to become happier and healthier; and throughout 2022 you will start to see our logo, name and visual identity change.
You can already find us on The Charities’ Commission as Age Well East.

Although we will look very different, we will remain an independent charity, supporting individuals to Age Well in Colchester and also other areas in Essex and Suffolk.
All our existing focus remains, and our goal is to extend our services more widely, to more people.
As an organisation, we have supported those in greatest need since 1950 and our target will be to reach an incredible 10,000 people a year, making them happier and healthier.
We are proud that our services are highly regarded in the community we serve and include befriending, dementia, emotional support, vital welfare advice & information, end of life, bereavement, and mental health support. As an established charity, we will continue to work closely with partners in the NHS, local government and across colleagues in the VCSE sector with the common aim of improving life for the population.
