Our Befriending Service addresses the needs of the socially isolated and offers a three-pronged service:
- Telephone Befriending
- Face-to-Face Befriending
- Circle-of Friendship Befriending
to encompass a wide range of needs.
We would very much like to hear from anybody who would like to access this service or who would like to volunteer to be a befriender. All volunteers are interviewed and references received before joining us and DBS checks are completed before a volunteer is matched to a client. The co-ordinator remains in contact with both client and volunteer on a regular basis. If either party is not happy with the match then both are placed back on the list until a more suitable match can be made for each.
