Budgeting Matters to The Co-operative Bank

We’re delighted that our Pandemic Recovery Budgeting Pilot-Project has gratefully received funding from The Co-operative Bank’s Customer Donation Fund! Their contribution has allowed our Welfare Advisory Team to commence additional training to future assist vulnerable people in later years, find ways to better budget their money.

Catherine Douglas, Managing Director SME Banking, The Co-operative Bank said “This year we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of applications that we have received. During these unprecedented times we know it’s the individuals and local initiatives like yours that make a real difference to local communities and the people that live in them.”

“Once live, this project will help people in later years within our community become more resilient whilst facing points of personal difficulty or crisis, and should encourage long-term improvements in their wellbeing and independence. We are extremely grateful to The Co-operative Bank for allowing us to kick-start this project proposal, as we’ll soon be able to reach more people when they need us.” Martin Jones, Operations Manager, Age Concern Colchester & North East Essex.
