Winter Advice From the NHS

Are you ready and prepared…..

Would you please spend a little bit of time this weekend making sure that you’re prepared for the colder winter months. And it would be good to check in on elderly relatives and neighbours.

There’s lots of information on the NHS website to help you prepare well with things like:

– Making sure you’ve got the medicine cabinet essentials at home so you can best deal with coughs and colds and other winter ailments

– If you’re in an at-risk group you’ve had a free flu vaccination

– Is the heating system of elderly relatives & neighbours working? Are they worried about heating bills – there is support available. Have they got food and medicine at home in case there’s a sudden cold snap and they can’t get out

Simple, common sense preparations to keep us all well this winter:
